Salon Contemporary is offering emerging, innovative and passionate artists out there a chance to display their work in the creative hub of Notting Hill!Artist of the Week’ is a new and exciting competition, with the opportunity for one selected artist each week to have their work featured on our website in the run up to our AoW Christmas Exhibition. The winning candidate will then be offered a residency in London’s West End! We’re calling on artists from all fields including the visual arts, performance, dance, film, theatre, animation and music!

Following the success of the recent Artist of the Week programme, Salon Contemporary is thrilled to introduce a novel competition for all the budding, creative and visionary curators out there! ‘Curator of the Month’ is offering young talents the chance to curate an exhibition of the nation’s aspiring contemporary artists in the artistic hub of Notting Hill, with the chance of international exposure and opportunities!

This competition provides a huge opportunity for any recent graduate with a talent for curating, and any business student with an interest in applying his or her skills to the art market, or any art history graduate/final year student willing to push boundaries and take risks within the contemporary art world.

On the last day of every month, Salon Contemporary will announce the winning ‘Curator of the Month’, who will then be invited to curate one of the galleries exciting forthcoming exhibitions in 2011.

Each month the selected Curator of the Month will also receive:

-A spread on the Curator of the Month blog

-Our help of promotion via facebook/ twitter/

-Invitations to all our VIP and Preview Nights.

Remember that this competition is monthly – there is no deadline, so if you’re not successful one month, there’s no reason not to keep applying!

**Applicants must be either in the final year of BA/MA degree, or up to 3 years out of either of these institutions.

Salon Contemporary is a vibrant hot-bed and network for new talent, carefully selected by director Samir Ceric and his extensive network of industry professionals from the UK's leading art schools, offering an array of original works that explode onto the art market with refreshing vivacity. ‘Curator of the Month’, ‘Artist of the Week’ and ‘Best of British’ form an integral part of a new and exciting concept that Salon Contemporary has launched in the recent months.
