Salon Contemporary is offering emerging, innovative and passionate artists out there a chance to display their work in the creative hub of Notting Hill!Artist of the Week’ is a new and exciting competition, with the opportunity for one selected artist each week to have their work featured on our website in the run up to our AoW Christmas Exhibition. The winning candidate will then be offered a residency in London’s West End! We’re calling on artists from all fields including the visual arts, performance, dance, film, theatre, animation and music!

AoW Application Information


Each week the selected Artist of the Week will receive:


-A spread on the AoW blog
-Chance for a national and international exposure.
-Our help of promotion via facebook/ twitter/ saloncontemporary.com.
-Invitations to all our VIP and Preview Nights.

-Finally, we will select our favourite AoW candidates, and then leave it up to the public to decide out of the shortlisted, who will be displayed in our Christmas Show!

Whatever your art and medium is, we want to see it.  Remember that this competition is weekly – there is no deadline, so if you’re not successful one week, there’s no reason not to keep applying! 

Salon Contemporary is a vibrant hot-bed and network for new talent, carefully selected by director Samir Ceric and his extensive network of industry professionals from the UK's leading art schools, offering an array of original works that explode onto the art market with refreshing vivacity. ‘Artist of the Week’ forms an integral part of a new and exciting concept that Salon Contemporary will be launching soon. 

To Apply:



All work entered must be current, or made within the last year. Applicants must be either in the final year of BA University degree, final year of MFA or up to 3 years out of either of these institutions. All entrants must submit no more than 8 digital jpeg images that they feel sum up their practice (photos should be 300dpi and print quality and no more that 500kb), an artist statement (no longer than 300 words), CV and contact details.
